7 signs your business website is losing you customers
Your website may be quietly sending visitors to competitors. These seven warning signs are easy to check and usually easy to fix.
Your website may be quietly sending visitors to your competitors. Here are seven warning signs you can check in a few minutes.
1. It is slow on a phone
Most visitors arrive on mobile data. If your home page takes more than a few seconds to show anything useful, many will leave before it loads.
2. Visitors cannot tell what you do in five seconds
Your main heading should say what you offer and who it is for. Slogans like "Excellence in everything" do not help a buyer decide.
3. There is no obvious way to contact you
A phone number, WhatsApp button and a short enquiry form should be easy to find on every page, not hidden at the bottom of a contact page.
4. It looks dated on mobile
Tiny text, buttons that are hard to tap, and pages that scroll sideways make a business look less professional than it is.
5. There is no proof
Client names, project photos, reviews and real numbers build trust. A website with none of these asks visitors to take your word for it.
6. Google does not show it for your services
Search for your main service and your city. If you do not appear on the first page or on Google Maps, you are missing your most valuable visitors.
7. It shows a security warning
"Not secure" in the browser bar, an expired SSL certificate or a hacked page will stop most people from going further.
What to do next
If you recognise two or more of these, a focused update can make a real difference without starting from scratch. Request a free website audit and we will tell you which fixes matter most.
